Certain models are difficult to attach or remove from the base. The Doona Combo, for example requires a two-step attachment process and straps that go over the infant's bottom part. It's tempting to skip these steps however it could result in dangerous results.
Some models are more difficult to fold or store than others, which makes them less convenient. The Graco FastAction 3-in-1 Car Seat Stroller, for instance, is difficult to fold due to its massive dimensions and heavy frame. The model also has a tiny canopy, which some users find to be disappointing. The Britax Parkway Combo Click and Go is easy to fold down with a push of a button and a pull of the lever. This model is also a good choice for parents who are planning on using their car seat on other people's vehicles, since it can be quickly detached from the base and reattached to any standard stroller.

It should be simple to unfold and fold the car seat, no matter if you're storing it in your trunk, or in the closet. The most efficient combinations we've tried fold easily with just one hand and are sturdy enough to use on long walks. They're also easy to move and glide smoothly over uneven surfaces. SafeCenter LATCH, a unique feature of the BOB Revolution Flex 3.0 Combo, makes it easy to install car seats by connecting the lower anchors and pulling the straps tight.
It's also fairly light, making it an excellent option for families and frequent travelers with multiple vehicles. The Baby Jogger City Mini GT 2 Combo and the Thule Urban Glide 2 have also scored well in our tests of ease-of-use. Both feature one front wheel that's easy to push (one-handed! Both have one front wheel that is easy to push (one-handed!). They also come with a flexible swing wheel, which is ideal for running errands and shopping. The only downside is that they're very heavy, so it can be tricky to lift them up when carrying children in the car seat.
Easy to Assemble
Some stroller and car seat combinations can be difficult to put together. We discovered that the UPPAbaby Cruz v2 Combo was one of the most simple to put together, and it even includes a handy quick-start guide that makes putting this travel system together a breeze. Other models we tested, such as the UPPAbaby Minu, UPPAbaby Vista v2, Thule Urban Glide 2 and Baby Trend Snap-N-Go EX Universal, were also fairly easy to assemble. However, the BOB Revolution Flex 3.0 Combo is difficult to put together because it requires two steps: attaching the lower anchors and using straps that go over the bottom portion of the carrier. It's heavy, which means it requires two people to secure the carrier in the base, and then remove it.
In our tests, we took around 5 minutes to assemble the UPPAbaby Cruz. This is a relatively easy procedure when you consider the time saved from not having to rip out each piece. The toddler seat can be put together and removed easily on the majority of these models.
